Wind Farm Plan Ditched after Objections from Local Residents
A large planned development in Suffolk has been withdrawn after a "vociferous" campaign by local residents.
A proposal at Sedgeford in Norfolk has been withdrawn by the company involved - Ecotricity. This is becuase it would have a "detrimental affect on the development on designated nature conservation areas in the Wash and Norfolk coast and also bird species such as Pink-footed Geese."
It's a shame they didn't think of this before putting the application forward. If you were planning to spend several million pounds on something wouldn't it be wise to check details like this first? On the one hand, thanks to the company for listening - on the other have they only withdrawn becuase they've been "rumbled"? The story can be found here.

This has been after a long campaign by the action group. The council has decided "enough is enough" after the developers apparentley broke promise after promise.
This action group ran a successful campaign to stop wind turbines from ruining an outstanding area of natural beauty.
